A remake of an old Warren Beatty movie Heaven Can’t Wait, and this is the new more up-to-date version of the film which in my opinion was not good at all.

I love Chris Rock’s comedy but his jokes in the movie were either old from his stand up or forced laughs. Plus Chris Rock is a horrible actor. It is pretty bad when you can tell he was acting. Stick to stand up Chris, or take better acting lessons. There were a few laughs in the movie but again they make that mistake showing all the funny stuff in the trailers.

If you care to this point, I will go into the story a little. Chris Rock plays a struggling actor who bombs at the Apollo Theatre on Amateur Night, and on the way home from sucking, like this movie, he is hit by a bus and is sent to heaven. The problem is that he was killed before he was supposed to, whatever the hell that means, so he is allowed to go back to another body.

It turns out its an old rich fat white guy, who then meets “by coincidence” with Regina King’s character and he falls in love with her. Blah Blah Blah. The story was pretty bad, and the acting wasn’t much better. Watch at your own risk.
