The people who released the Occupy compilation will be releasing Buy This Fracking Album, an anti-fracking album and a quest to save America’s drinking water. Anti-Flag will be on the album along with Pete Seeger, The Roots, Tom Chaplin, Rusted Root and others. The album will be out early 2014.

Tony Sly of No Use For A Name passed away last year and the punk community is still feeling the lost. Fat Wreck Chords compiled an excellent collection of bands to pay tribute to late NUFAN frontman. The bands cover Tony Sly’s solo material as well as No Use For A Name songs. Proceeds of the album sales will go to the Tony Sly fund, so don’t be an asshole and steal this album.
Anti-Flag is 20 years old believe it or not and they have started a 7″ series with other bands. The last volume was with World’s Scariest Police Chases and this time they are releasing a split 7″ inch with All Dinosaurs. Anti-Flag re-recorded 2 songs, and All Dinosaurs recorded 2 songs as well. There’s a lot of Less Than Jake news being posted here lately. They just announced their new album is coming out in November via Fat, and now they announced an awesome tour with Anti-Flag, Masked Intruder and Get Dead. The tour will hit NYC on November 10th at Highline Ballroom but the day before LTJ will be playing Skanksgiving 2013 at Starland Ballroom with Mustard Plug and Big D and the Kids Table.
Anti-Flag and A-F Records announced that their first split 7-inch series (Vol. 1) of their “20 Years of Hell.” Volume 1 split is with Pittsburgh’s “Worlds Scariest Police Chases” and it’s in-stock and on sale now! “20 Years of Hell: Vol. 1″ features 2 re-recorded and re-envisioned Anti-Flag tracks as well as 2 previously unreleased Worlds Scariest Police Chases tracks produced and recorded by Chris2.
Anti-Flag is celebrating their 20th year as a band! 2013 has been a big year for both Anti-Flag and their label A-F Records. Having just come off a 20 Year Anniversary tour, the band has now announced a 7” Vinyl/Online Subscription series. Titled 20 Years Of Hell, these special records will have di-cut covers, be hand-numbered, and limited to 500.
Recently I met up with Justin Sane of Anti-Flag before their 20th Anniversary show in NYC. I filmed Justin performing “1 Trillion Dollar$” at the Cube at Astor Place. Surprisingly we didn’t attract a crowd or any cops but then again this was only 1 song. Enjoy the video below!
This week brings a very exciting feature to ‘Pleased To Hear You.’ It was announced earlier in the week that A-F Records had recently signed 3 new bands to the label, World’s Scariest Police Chases, Worship This!, and All Dinosaurs. Anti-Flag has joined forces with Art For Amnesty recently and released a version of “Toast To Freedom.” The song was written to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Amnesty International. The track — inspired by the imprisonment of Russian activist punk band Pussy Riot and went on sale in Europe and the rest of world on February 8th (USA and Canada on February 12th) via the iTunes Store. All net proceeds benefit Amnesty International. Now there is a music video!

Although not familiar with him or his work, singer/songwriter Roger Harvey is a local boy and hails from Pittsburgh, PA. Dandelion Snow is his current project and was produced by Chris #2 of Anti-Flag.
Hostage Calm and Anti-Flag have announced a new split 7″ on Run For Cover Records and recently relaunched A-F Records. Proceeds of the sales will go to the bands local charities which is cool of them. The 7″ is out on February 26th and is available for pre-order now from Run For Cover’s webstore.
