British singer-songwriter Frank Turner’s US tour comes to fruition, he leaves the country with an emotionally charged new video for his latest single, “Isabel,” from his critically heralded album, Poetry of the Deed. Premiering today, the heartfelt music video for “Isabel” was shot at Leo Carillo beach in Malibu while on a recent tour of California.

Buffalo’s riotous rock group Every Time I Die have unveiled a sweat drenched, whisky soaked new video for “After One Quarter of a Revolution” from their recently released album, New Junk Aesthetic. Compiled of clips from an insanely ferocious show at The White Rabbit in San Antonio, TX, the video is a two minute ripper of stage dives and face melting shredding that will make fans salivate to see them live and pick up the album.

Flogging Molly played in New York City last night on their annual Green 17 tour. This time, the tour featured opening acts The Architects and an artist that’s quickly becoming one of my favorite musicians, Frank Turner. While the bands performed excellently, the concert experience at Hammerstein Ballroom left a lot to be desired.

When it was announced that Cursive and Alkaline Trio were touring together, I think every little emo-hearted punk let out a girlish squeal. After all, it was Alkaline Trio and Cursive. Unfortunately, Saturday’s sold-out performance at Chicago’s the Metro did not exactly live up to expectations.

Frank Turner played a headline show Wednesday night in Asbury Park, NJ at Asbury Lanes. I believe it was his first sold-out show in the United States? Alkaline Trio will perform their new single, “This Addiction,” live on Late Show With David Letterman on Wednesday, March 10th, in support of their new album, This Addiction, which is due out on February 23rd. The Trio recently released a video for the single which you can see here.

Converge headlining Spring tour


Hardcore-metal band Converge have announced a headlining spring tour in support of 2009’s critically heralded, masterpiece, Axe To Fall. The band has invited label mates and friends Thursday, who are currently out supporting their 2009 release Common Existence, to join them on the road for the first week of the tour. Converge will be joined by supporting acts Coalesce, Harvey Milk, Gaza, Touche Amore, Lewd Acts and Black Breath on various dates throughout the rest of the tour (see tour routing below).
