The teaser trailer for Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier has premiered online. That is, if you didn’t watch the teaser of the teaser of the teaser trailer the other day. The movie looks great and looks darker than the original. It also features Black Widow, Nick Fury, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Plus, Robert Redford is starring in this making this movie ten times better already! Can’t wait!
With the exponential success of the “Phase 1” or “Thank god people like our comic book movies and we’re no longer bankrupt and now we have Disney money to throw around” of the Marvel Comics movie plan, the next group of sequels and new titles starting with Iron Man 3 will kick off “Phase 2” and eventually lead towards Avengers 2 which should be the biggest movie in the entire known universe. It will be bigger than Space Jam…quote me on that. While Marvel’s plans aren’t exactly known it’s said that “Phase 2” will be more cosmic…and I don’t mean in a hippy stoner kind of way. Thor 2 or Thor: The Dark World to us comic geeks obviously has a cosmic feel to it since it takes place in Asgardian space and obviously Guardians of the Galaxy will take place out there somewhere in the galaxy possibly leading towards an Avengers 2 battle with the Mad Titan Thanos…who was born on Saturn’s moon Titan. Cosmic enough for ya?

Out of all of the solo Marvel characters out there, Deadpool was the merc with a mouth with enough smarts and balls to hold High Moon Studios (the developer of the game) hostage long enough for them to make a video game in his honor. Was a katana to the throat too much pressure for High Moon Studios to make the game that Deadpool wanted or were his dick and fart jokes motivation enough for High Moon to make the perfect game that DP wanted?
I never got a chance to see Iron Man 3 in theaters, and at this point why even bother seeing a movie unless it’s the first week. Movies come out so quickly to Blu-Ray, DVD and on-demand there’s really no need for it. I’m kind of happy about that since people in theaters are annoying and ticket prices are pricey (well at least after 12pm). Iron Man 3 made a ton of money and it looked like a lot of fun. Based on the reviews from friends, it sounds like it was better than the second movie, which isn’t saying much since that was quite mediocre. Anywhoooo, the movie will be out September 3rd on HD Digital/HD Digital 3D (whatever that is) and then the Blu-Ray/DVD will be out on September 23rd via Marvel.

“Some destinies are chosen. Fight alongside or against the X-Men based on the choices you make.” That’s the tagline on the box of X-Men Destiny. For the first time that I can recall in comic book video games you can take to the street and go up against the X-Men as the Brotherhood. Of course, I sided with the X-men but just having the opportunity to choose your side and thus your destiny is a unique selling point for this game.
The search for Captain America has been going on for awhile now, and apparently the search is finally over. Chris Evans of Not Another Teen Movie, Fantastic Four, Sunshine will be the one that plays Steve Rogers (a.k.a Captain America). Personally, I’d have to see how the final product comes out but I don’t know what to think of this decision. Hasn’t Chris done enough comic book movies? The First Avenger: Captain America comes out July 22nd, 2011 and is being directed by Joe Johnston.
The teaser trailer for Iron Man 2 premiered on Apple.com last night. The trailer is everything I expected it to be, and I simply can’t wait for Iron Man 2 this summer! You see Tony Shark showing off like he’s know to do, you get to see Whiplash spoil Tony’s fun, Scarlet Johansson as Black Widow, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and at the end..War Machine (Don Cheadle) and Iron Man shooting away. Very cool!
Like with most things, ReadJunk.com is a little late in the game with making fun of something. Walt Disney bought Marvel this week for a butt load of money. The buyout spawned a bunch of articles from various movie websites, wondering what type of movies Disney & Marvel would release now. Here are some of the Disney/Marvel movies we’d like to see:
X-Men Origins: Wolverine looked like it was going to be very cheesy but fun at the same time. I haven’t actually seen it yet but I’ll give it a shot on DVD. I mean, can it be any worse than X-Men 3: The Last Stand? That was a piece of crap. I wish Bryan Singer would come back to the X-Men series (he was rumored to?) and bring back the franchise to respectability. Read the press release after the jump:
Starring: Cedric Smith, Cal Dodd, Norm Spencer, Iona Morris, Chris Potter, Lenore Zann, George Buza, Catherine Disher, Alyson Court, David Hemblen
Created By: Larry Houston, Frank Squillace
Studio: Disney / Buena Vista

X-Men Volume 2 continues where Volume 1 left off. Disney could have stretched out the releases of the 90’s X-Men animated series, but they decided to release 2 volumes at the same time. I think that’s fantastic! If you got nothing to do on a weekend, pop in both volumes like I did!
Marvel’s X-Men volume 1 & 2 is being releasing by Walt Disney Home Entertainment on Tuesday. ReadJunk.com is here to present you a few clips from the upcoming DVDs to get you psyched. The clips being featured include scenes with Juggernaut vs Wolverine, Wolverine Vs Morph, Swampland and Sinister. Check ‘em out after the jump:
