Sorry Folks, No Image Is Here.

So the Oscars are over and it turned out as predictable as I thought it would be. Slumdog Millionaire won a ton of awards, and it’s still a movie I haven’t seen yet. I have a feeling it’s being over-hyped but I’ll watch it with an open mind soon. Glad to see Heath Ledger win and it was a nice touch to have his family accept the award.

I thought Hugh Jackman’s musical opener was great, but other than that performance; he was hardly noticeable. The other musical number that involved the twerps from High School Musical and lip sync diva Beyonce Knowles was blah. It’s funny that Anne Hathaway can sing live at the Oscars but a singer like Beyonce has to lip sync. Don’t you think that’s wrong and Beyonce should be called out for that crap?

The Ben Stiller spoof on Joaquin Phoenix’s David Letterman appearance was great, and Tina Fey & Steve Martin were funny together for Best Screenplays. Too bad Steve Martin hasn’t been funny in a movie in years. I thought they should have done away with all the actors talking about each actor and just shown some clips. I wanted to see that interrogation scene between Batman and Joker one more time! But I was officially bored with the Oscars after Heath won. Anyway…
