San Diego Comic-Con is happening this week so I’m sure there will be plenty of other big movie news this week. The first is that the directors of The Lego Movie, 21/22 Jump Street will be directing a stand-alone Han Solo prequel. The movie is set to be released in 2018 and might I suggest Nathan Fillion to play the part?
Hollywood Reporter exclusively reported the news this afternoon:
When Christopher Miller was an intern at Lucasfilm, he was asked (and geekily accepted) to step into a Stormtrooper costume for one of George Lucas’ Special Edition Star Wars movies.
Now, in a paraphrasing of Darth Vader’s immortal words, a circle is about to be complete.
Miller and his partner Phil Lord, the duo behind The Lego Movie and the hit Jump Street films, are tackling one of the Star Wars anthology projects as their next directing vehicle, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.
