Europunk.net has announced that Adam “Atom” Willard (Alkaline Trio, American Hi-Fi and Rocket from the Crypt) has reportedly left The Offspring to pursue a new career with Tom Delonge’s Angels And Airwaves. Ron Welty, original drummer for the famous punkband, is rumoured to rejoin the ranks.

Previous drummer, Ron Welty, left during the band’s hiatus in early 2003 to pursue his career with a band proejct Steady Ground. Then later, he was replaced by Willard when band was busy recording their last album “Splinter”. Unfortunately, he was not credited on the album.

The band are currently working on their long-awaited eighth full-length album, which is slated for release sometime later this year.
