(Epitaph, Los Angeles, CA) Australian hardcore ensemble DAY OF CONTEMPT has signed a worldwide licensing deal with Epitaph to release their new EP, The Will To Live, across the globe.

Slated for release on August 9, 2005, The Will To Live was produced and mixed by Josh Abraham (Weezer, Velvet Revolver, Linking Park, Orgy, Static-X), who agreed to work with the band after experiencing one of their killer live shows.

Rooted in classic hardcore, The Will To Live is a brutal hardcore blitz that features intense rhythms, blazing riffs, incensed, melodic vocals and an overall energy that can only be described as explosive! With Abraham behind the boards, the Will To Live EP is sure to be a prime example of this band’s ability.

Formed seven years ago, DAY OF CONTEMPT has forged a rock solid reputation in their native land by helping to breathe new life into the burgeoning Australian hardcore scene. Armed with nothing more than their “will to live,” DAY OF CONTEMPT have now relocated to Southern California, where they look to take the next step in their promising careers.

The band’s tour resume’ is impressive to say the least; featuring runs with acts such as Good Charlotte, Avenged Sevenfold, Terror, Bleeding Through, Himsa and many more, DAY OF CONTEMPT are well on their way to achieving their goal of becoming one of the most intense hardcore bands around!
