Oaks, PA- Music Video Distributors and SlamJAMZ are pleased to announce the home viewing release of Public Enemy – It Takes a Nation: The First London Invasion 1987 for worldwide distribution on DVD/CD. This DVD follows Public Enemy on their very first embarkment upon the Euro-UK shores during the Def Jam tour of 1987. Thatcher was Prime Minister, Nelson Mandela was still in a South African prison, Reagan was US president, the Wall was still up and a King holiday was far away. PE stepped into this world with plenty to say, vintage interviews, and the incendiary performance.

By pioneering a variation of hardcore rap that was musically and politically revolutionary, Public Enemy rewrote all of the rules of hip-hop. What began as the most influential and controversial rap group of the late ’80s, has come to be known as the most definitive rap group of all time.
