(Epitaph, Los Angeles, CA) Punk rock paragons, THE BOUNCING SOULS are gearing up for a week-long East Coast run. Beginning November 18th in Charleston, the band will travel north through New York, and finish up in Poughkeepsie on November 26th. The band is also confirmed to appear at Riot Fest 2005 in Chicago on November 5th and at The Fest in Gainesville on November 19th.

THE BOUNCING SOULS recently toured the West Coast with 7 Seconds and Street Dogs ending the run with a sold out show at the El Rey in Los Angeles. Earlier this fall, THE BOUNCING SOULS performed at benefit shows in New York for CBGBs and Hopeline/1-800-SUICIDE, and at Operation Ceasefire with MC5 and Anti-Flag in Washington, DC.

Rollingstone.com says that “With Anchors Away, the New Jersey group’s exhilarating new studio album, the SOULS show more heart than ever. Growing up in the shadow of NYC, 9/11 hits home with the anthem “Born Free.” But the SOULS aren’t only about the blasting material, as the escapist punk ballad “Night Train” reveals the influence of their parent’s Springsteen albums. “Give me something to sing about,” frontman Greg Attonito pleads in desperation on “Sing Along Forever,” balking at rock’s spiritless status quo. When the kids pick up this stellar disc, that very void will be filled.”
