From Young Dubliners: We have just signed a new record deal with 429 records (Distributed by WEA). We are currently in the studio working our rear ends off to complete the first album by Jan 2007.

It is something we have been asked to do for many years and are finally getting around to doing. An album full of all the Irish tunes we love (many you have never heard us play, some you have been hearing for years) which we will release nationwide in time for St. Paddy’s day. (Feb 13th 2007 we hope)

Tentatively titled “With All Due Respect, The Irish Sessions ” it is full of the very best of the rockin pub songs and sing alongs that Bren and I grew up with. Of course we have put a Young Dub slant on them so you know it will be hard hitting.

We decided to get it out in time for St. Paddy’s day so that you can all have the Young Dubs at your parties even if you can’t make the shows. It will be available in all major record stores and on our website as well as at the live shows. The release date is set for Feb 13th but this may change a little. We will update you as we go.

The second part of the deal will be a new full original album slated for a March 2008 release. We will start working on that early next year.

So we are jumping in at the deep end again. Currently we are in the studio recording like crazed animals to get you this album in time. Wish us luck.

On a side note, as usual if you order Dubs stuff from the merch page by Dec 15th you will be guaranteed a Christmas delivery. Sorry that those orders placed in Nov. were a bit slow to be processed but that was because we were in Europe and a little out of the loop. All is well now so order away. Should have the new Ireland tour shirt available there soon. It was a good one this year. (Read all about the 2006 Irish trip on the website home page)

Gotta run to the studio, see ya out there.
