Buju is back with his long awaited follow up to “Unchained Spirit.” Buju brings dancehall, roots reggae and hip hop to a new level with great ragga toasting and lyrics that are only out to inspire. Take a look for many guests on this album including Beres Hammond, Fat Joe, Bounty Killer, Wayne Wonder and Nadine Sutherland. Witnessed Buju live is an awesome experience and adds to the enjoyment of his albums like in tracks “Up Ye Mighty Race,” an ode to stand up and fight, similar to “Get Up Stand Up.” The track “Feeling Groovy” is another excellent track which brings reggae together with its predecessors in ska and rocksteady. It’s another great song to hear live. If you haven’t heard of Buju, pick up an album and you’ll like it. Trust Me. After that, head to one of his shows. It should not be missed. “Friends For Life” accomplishes 19 excellent tracks of a great variety in reggae music, and it shows Buju gets better and better every album.

Bottom Line: Awesome album. I can’t stop listening to it!
Notable Tracks: “Up Ye Mighty Race” “La Da De Da” “Feeling Groovy” “What Am I Gonna Do?”
