Incredibly polished emo-pop. It’s so polished, it’s almost likeable. Sort of like encrusting diamonds on a pile of shit.

The lyrics are cartoonishly corny and the boy-band-esque vocals will make you cringe. I mean, just listen to the Romeo & Juliet garbage in the title track or the cheesed-out “I’m Alive.” But y’know… it’s perfect in its disgustingly poppy way. It’s almost like a team of scientists worked overtime to create the most perfectly, nauseatingly pleasing confection in emo. It’s like Fall Out Boy making out with N’ Sync on a bed of marshmallows.

So my attitude toward this CD is similar to seeing a hairless chihuahua in a dog show. Ugly-ass dog that you want to punt across the room, but the best in its breed in its own hideous way.

Bottom Line: A polished turd.
Notable Tracks: The one about pining over a girl
