Hailing from Georgia, Fried Goat play cleaned-up Southern rock with some feel-good country pop. Think Creedence Clearwater Revival’s big riffs with Toby Keith’s… whatever it is Toby Keith does.
With a name like Fried Goat, though, I was hoping for some dirty-assed rock n’ roll dripping with bayou blues. A couple of tracks (“Broad Creek,” “Don’t Let It Bring You Down”) are riff-prominent enough to be memorable, but much of the rest is flavorless.
Bottom Line: Decent country-fried rock. Could be rowdier.
Notable Tracks: Broad Creek
