The great British Rock revival movement version (insert number here) is upon us. More & more UK bands are getting signed to record labels over here. Not sure how well they are doing over in the United States but the UK bands over in Europe are making a killing I’m sure. I have been into a lot of bands from the latest revival rock scene like the Kaiser Chiefs, The Kooks and the Fratellis. I’ve heard of one song from the Holloways and that’s “Two Left Feet.” But other than that one song, I didn’t know how the rest of this album was going to be. After a few listens its not that bad!

“So This Is Great Britain?” came out in October in the UK but it’s only coming out a year later in the U.S. Man, the United States are just really behind in the times aren’t they? I wish I was living in the UK, at least they have a better music scene over there than in the U.S. All that’s played on the radio is Fergie and stupid pop singing crap. At least the Brits still have a bit of rock n roll in them. The Holloways ‘s album is up and down for me. Some tracks get annoying too quickly, and some are great. I’m trying to think of what bands the Holloways sound like, and the one band that keeps popping up into my mind is the Kinks. But just not as good. If you’re into the Brit Rock Revival stuff, than you’ll more than likely enjoy this debut CD from the Holloways.

Bottom Line: New UK rock band that have potential
Notable Tracks: Generator, Two Left Feet, Happiness and Penniless
