Paris Luna is a singer/songwriter with a pleasant voice and the sultry strut of a chanteuse. Her songs are folky, and occasionally dark guitar based mid-tempo tunes. The songwriting isn’t bad, if a bit generic. I didn’t mind the disc, and put it on while frustratingly tried to figure out why I don’t have a teaching job five days before the school year starts. A couple of the songs really fit that mood, which was a good thing I guess, although it did eventually necessitate some metal just to get some of the anger out.

I feel like Paris Luna could definitely hit it big given the right push, say, a track placed conveniently on Grey’s Anatomy. While she sounds more or less like many other female artists, she definitely won’t offend anyone. I’d be interested to hear how she grows as a songwriter and artist.

Bottom Line: Pleasant and inoffensive female singer-songwriter stuff.
Notable Tracks: Someday, All for Nothing, Having a Hard Time
