I wish Mr. Field were reviewing this and not me. He knows his twangy stuff and could describe in generous detail the gentle nuances of Sleeper Car.

I, on the other hand, can only say that it’s twangy.

I mean, it’s pleasant if a little maudlin, with good use of steel pedal and guitars and they don’t overdo the harmonica and violin. Lyrics are more thoughtful than the usual lonesome desert highway crap, and the production is warm and lush.

But it’s twangy.
