Four songs each. Slick Shoes feature very bad vocals that are mixed way too prominently in the forefront. They really hit you hard and make you wince. Their fourth song is a waste it’s a three-minute collage of people talking and laughing, flute playing, and bad record scratching. A very annoying selection in the middle of the CD.
Next up is Cooter who I previously thought were okay, but now they’re practically the Beatles next to Slick Shoes. Both bands are whiny, but Cooter’s whiny in a not-so-bad Superchunk way while Slick Shoes is whiny in an ugh-make-it-stop NOFX way. I guess it’s all a matter of taste.
