There’s only one blues-garage rock band worth listening to, and that’s Soledad Brothers. A great combination of smoky, live atmosphere, MC5 radical attitude, and Velvet Underground shuffling rawness, Soledad Brothers is the real deal and they rock it the way it should be rocked. Every band who wants to sound like the White Stripes should look up to these guys (and maybe the Von Bondies) instead.
