From their name and album title, I was expecting brutal hardcore, so I was taken aback when it starts off with poppy guitar and some “whoa-oh-oh’s”. Then things get weirder when it turns into harmless, sweet-natured power-pop. At their best, they’re reminiscent of the Travoltas. At their worst, they’re corny, toothless bubblegum pop, but even that’s pretty good, especially since this corny stuff is a guilty pleasure of mine.
