Thirty Called Arson are one of those bands that are doing new things with metalcore, adding indie breakdowns, uncommon chord progressions and scales, with smarter lyrics and song structures. They don’t take it to the level of complexity of Frodus-type bands, and they’re not catchy like Black Cross, but fans of metalcore looking for something that’s evolved past the limited chunka-chunka sound will enjoy this.
