This above-average street punk release from ’95 has largely remained unknown until TKO re-released it this year. On one hand, their angry ’77 UK-style street punk is nothing new: throaty vocals, tinny recording, sloppy playing and noisy guitars. But their sound is still appealing, and their attitude is not of posturing or trying to be a Blitz clone, but a solid “fuck you, we’re doing our own thing.”
Of course, the lyrics are still obvious and vaguely political – songs about the kids, fighting for what you believe in, etc. But they’re fun and melodic enough to stand out.
