Once again, Thought Riot take me by surprise. Emo-infused political punk sounds like the worst possible crap on the planet, and yet Thought Riot succeed by doing it really, really well. The lyrics are some of the best in the political punk realm – yeah, songs about revolution and injustice and how the government sucks, but they’re cleverly written and delivered without being rammed down your throat.
