Competent, well-produced emo rock that’s maturer and fuller-sounding than most emo. Like most new emo-pop bands, they have a little synth thing going in the background, but it’s quiet enough to not be distracting, and becomes just another layer of music on this already-multilayered album.

Their songwriting and sound are strong enough to place them outside the emo label, but then I’d be tempted to call them poppy grunge or good bar rock, so we’ll just leave it as emo.
