I always considered Sloppy Meateaters a good, young punk band that hadn’t reached their potential. With one founding member gone, and a slightly better name change, the new and improved incarnation has reached that potential.

Their five originals on their debut EP (there’s also a good Nirvana cover) are incredibly infectious and well-written pop-punk, which is a rarity today. While still fun and youthful-sounding, this band has definitely evolved into mature and talented songwriters.

Bottom Line: Less Sloppy, More Meaty.
