Great new EP from Way Yes, a Columbus, Ohio duo that emulates “Graceland” and “Rhythm of the Saints”-era Paul Simon and adds some feel-good breezy island rhythms. Softly and lucidly textured with light Caribbean/Polynesian percussion and gentle vocals, they’re in some ways closer to Paul Simon than the hipster bands influenced by him, like Vampire Weekend.

Doing away with some of the indie weirdness and echoey effects of “Herringbone,” “Walkability” is very songful and likable.

Bottom Line: Brightens up the deserted island in your soul.
