Music Video: Levellers – “Raft Of The Medusa”

The Levellers are at it again, this time releasing a music video for their song “Raft of the Medusa.” The song is off their brilliant new album Static on the Airwaves. The video was filmed at their festival, Beautiful Days Festival, which happens every August in southern England. The band will be playing acoustic gigs in Europe this month and then in November playing the UK with Citizen Fish, including London on November 24th. Simon Friend will be taking some personal time off from the band so not sure he will be on these tours.
The song re-tells the true story of the aftermath of the running aground of French Naval frigate, the Méduse. At least 147 people were set adrift on a hurriedly constructed raft; all but 15 died in the 13 days before their rescue.
