Run For Cover Records releasing Daylight’s debut album

Run For Cover Records has announced that they will release the long-awaited debut full-length, Jar, from Doylestown, PA quartet Daylight on April 30, 2013.
Revolver Magazine today premiered a brand new track, “In On It” from the upcoming album, it can be heard here. Daylight is currently on a full US tour throughout the rest of the month with Balance and Composure and The Jealous Sound and will head to Europe and the UK with Make Do And Mend in March.
After spending the past few years honing their signature grungy, buzzing sound across four EPs, Jar perfectly showcases Daylight’s talent for writing songs that are both strikingly heavy and delicately emotional. Engineered and produced by Will Yip (Title Fight, Circa Survive), Jar features stadium drums, thick, pulsating bass and walls of buzzsaw guitars that are reminiscent of major label grunge breakthrough records such as Nevermind and Siamese Dream. Fans of 90s alternative bands such as Handsome, Seaweed, and Hum will all find something to love in Jar, which hearkens back to that era but still feels timeless rather than vintage. From hard, heavy rock grooves to soft guitar and vocal verses all the way to pop sensible choruses, Daylight have delivered a towering rock record and an early contender for album of the year.
