One week before its March 31st release, A Shipwreck in the Sand, the latest album from Silverstein, is available for streaming in its entirety on MySpace. Shipwreck is the fourth full-length studio album from one of Canada’s finest rock bands and is a testament and return to Silverstein’s trademark, aggressive, post-hardcore sound.

The album, featuring the single “Vices”, is what Silverstein is calling their greatest work to date and many early listeners agree. This truly unique concept record takes on many relevant social and political issues, from following a misleading captain down a narrowing path to the torment a lover’s unfaithful tryst can bring. Tracks on Shipwreck range from heavy and pounding to harmonious and layered, beautifully performed by these five incredible musicians with production by Cameron Webb (who also produced Silverstein’s 2005 best-selling album “Discovering The Waterfront”). Listen for yourself at the bands’ MySpace page HERE.

Silverstein just kicked off their national headlining run last Sunday night in Sauget, IL and will be on the road until May 3rd, including stops at both Bamboozle Festivals and Las Vegas’ Extreme Thing Festival. The band immediately follows with tour dates around the globe w/ Hollywood Undead (UK), Vans Warped Tour 2009 (select dates) and more to be announced. Silverstein has sold over 750,000 records to date via emotionally engrossing, meaningful music, a dedicated worldwide fan base and non-stop international touring.
