LATROBE, PA – In preparation for the release of their upcoming fourth album Deadbeat Sweetheartbeat on September 13, 2005, Western Pennsylvania’s The Juliana Theory is gearing up for a Midwest and East Coast tour with Lovedrug, Days Away and The Goodwill supporting. The tour kicks off at Buffalo’s Icon on August 30th and winds back in their home area of Pittsburgh’s Mr. Smalls on September 24th. With their upcoming headlining slot at Rolling Rock Town Fair Six on August 6th as a warm-up date before hitting the road, the band is excited to play some of their music for the first time. “We’ve been rotating the same 20-25 songs in our live show for the past three years,” replies vocalist Brett Detar. “On this tour we’re going to break out some songs from the new album for the first time. We are excited to finally let some of these cats out of the bag.”

Produced by John Travis (Social Distortion, Kid Rock), co-produced by vocalist Brett Detar, and mixed by Joe Barresi (QOTSA, Rancid), Deadbeat Sweetheartbeat brings together the crunch and burn of their earlier material with a modern songwriting sensibility that brings them to a whole new level. Almost exclusivity D.I.Y., this album is a true labor of love and it shows. From the opening searing guitars and vocal sneer of the first single “This Is a Lovesong For the Loveless” to the final flipoff of “French Kiss Off”, Deadbeat Sweetheartbeat stomps down hard and makes its presence known. The rhythmic beatbeat of “Leave Like a Ghost (Drive Away)” propels the band even farther than expected, with a blistering and danceable beat that smells of instant classic.

Deadbeat Sweetheartbeat will be released on September 13, 2005 on Paper Fist/Abacus Recordings.
