Jim Gaffigan’s newest stand-up special, Jim Gaffigan: Obsessed, will debut on Comedy Central on April 27th at 10pm. The full uncensored special will also be available on the Comedy Central App the day after its premiere.

In front of a live audience at The Wilbur Theater in Boston, Gaffigan’s obsession with all things food comes to fruition as he tackles a cornucopia of new food topics from fruit to seafood to donuts. Never without wry social commentary, Gaffigan digs deep into other obsessions as well, from underwear to weddings to not wanting to smell.

On April 29 the extended and uncensored edition will be available on DVD and Blu-ray and for download on CC: Stand-Up Direct, iTunes, Xbox Video, Sony Entertainment Network, Amazon Instant Video, Vudu and Target. Also on April 29, the “Jim Gaffigan: Obsessed” extended and uncensored edition will be available on CD, vinyl and as a digital album, which can be downloaded via iTunes, Amazon MP3, and other major retailers.

Jim Gaffigan is a Grammy-nominated comedian, New York Times bestselling author, top touring performer, and multiplatinum-selling father of five. The pre-order for “Obsessed,” his fourth one-hour special (“Beyond the Pale” 2006, “King Baby” 2009, “Mr. Universe” 2012), has already charted #1 on iTunes, which gives Gaffigan five albums in the Top 25 Comedy category on iTunes.

In May 2013, Gaffigan’s first book, Dad is Fat, was released by Crown Publishing and debuted at #5 on the New York Times best seller’s list and remained on the list for 17 weeks. Gaffigan has had breakout guest appearances on many comedies and dramas ranging from “Portlandia” to HBO’s cult hits “Flight of the Concords” and “Bored to Death,” as well as dramatic roles in all three versions of “Law & Order.” In recent years, Gaffigan has also become a mainstay on the big screen with memorable roles in “Going the Distance,” “Away We Go,” and “It’s Kind of a Funny Story.”
