London based folk/pop act Robbie Boyd Band have been making waves on the radio, especially on BBC radio. Their single “I Won’t Let You Go” is a catchy folk song that will make people think immediately on Mumford and Sons.

That’s not to say that they were the first to come up with folky indie rock sound, but are the most popular doing it lately. The song itself will have you bopping your head back and forth and have you mumbling the lyrics in no time. Frontman Robbie Boyd’s vocals are pleasant to the ears and the band’s style is more radio-friendlier than other folk bands.

The EP is only 5 tracks, with “I Won’t Let You Go” being the highlight but the other tracks are just as good. “Orion’s Belt” is a pop rock song that incorporates some horns which I enjoyed hearing.
