This was one War flick that I could watch again and again. There’s other that are incredibly great and well done, but I can’t see it a lot because it’s so graphic and real. Prime examples of that is Saving Private Ryan and Blackhawk Down. The one scene in SPR when the one guy is fighting in a house and getting a knife slowly into his chest. Ugh, I get that image of him in my head all the time when thinking of that movie. It’s tough to watch. Blackhawk Down I only saw recently, and I was screaming the whole time, BOMB THEM!. haha, I guess I was getting a little involved no? Don’t get me wrong, this is movie is brutal and realistic as well but I can tolerate somehow. This is a good example of what deleted scenes should be. 2 minutes each clip! And they were some good ones in there as well that should have been in the film. 10 delete scenes in total. There is a Behind the Scenes featurette on here and I’m sure it’s good and informative because I haven’t seen it yet. Just from the movie itself and the deleted scenes, this disc is a must get.
