I was little bit scared early on watching the trailers for this. It looked awfully bad and that’s why you shouldn’t judge a movie based on the trailers because this was one entertaining movie.

The premise of the story is about John Connor (now played by Nick Stahl) moving from place to place undetected, trying not to get his name out there so terminators could get him, even though they supposedly blew up Skynet in T2. But another terminator is back, and it’s a hot tall blonde (Kristanna Loken) who’s even more of a badass than Robert Patrick’s T-1000. But the older model of the terminator is back..again. He must stop the TX or Terminatrix from reaching her objections. Face it, Arnold was born to play a robot. He’s not better in any role but this. Arnold’s face might look older but he’s still pretty cut. I can’t wait to make a soundboard of all his new lines in this movie haha. Nick Stahl was great as John Connor I think. And I think he looks just like Michael Biehn (ya know, his father in the movie) as well so it makes it more believable.

I’m glad they didn’t bring back drug addict Ed Furlong. He was fine for T2 and but I don’t know if he would have been good in this. Claire Danes was kind of annoying in this movie. When she was yelling, it made me cringe because it was so loud and screechy haha. I remember watching Kristanna Loken on Unhappily Ever After as the nemesis to Nikki Cox’s character. She was slamming back then and she’s even more slamming now! I thought the movie had a lot more laughs than the previous movie and I liked that. The action was really great too, and the car chase scene was cool!! They blew up a lot of shit just for that one scene. I thought the CGI was great one time, and then kind of weak the next.

Like the CGI was weak when Arnold or Kristanna were fighting each other, and it required a CGI double and it looked too fake. If James Cameron did this movie, I think he would have done without the CGI in those scenes and just filmed it like a normal action scene. Thats where I think Hollywood is taking the easy way out, and using CGI instead of uses a stunt double. It looked a hell of a lot better with a stunt double than a cartoon with no real texture or depth to the CGI. Another thing I thought was lacking chemistry between Arnold and Claire & Nick, and also between Claire & Nick. They should have shown more of them liking each other, because at the end of the movie..you see them hold hands and it’s like come on, they really just got to know each other a few hours or so. BUT with that being said, I think Jonathan Mostow directed a movie that was highly entertaining, and great to watch, and he also filled some very big shoes since James Cameron wasn’t involved in this film. I don’t think another Terminator sequel will ever beat T2 though. That’s one of my favorite films of all time. But nonetheless, this movie was still awesome. If you liked the first 2, than you’ll want to check this movie out.

Bottom Line:
Favorite Scenes: when the Terminator gets his outfit, TX walking around naked, and the awesome car chase.
