Smalltalk is a rock band that features Worthless United’s Zak Kaplan and Pete Steinkopf of The Bouncing Souls. Their latest album features the song “The Last Ones,” which was also made into a music video. If you like Echo and the Bunnymen and The Cure, you might like this tune!

Chunksaah Records announced its 64th release; Smalltalk’s Plus! Featuring Worthless United’s Zak Kaplan and Pete Steinkopf of The Bouncing Souls, Smalltalk is an outfit from Neptune City, NJ whose sound is influenced more by the elements of somber British rock than the genre where its respective members cut their teeth.

Lovelorn, conversation-like lyrics, jangling guitars over pounding rhythms, an idiosyncratic vocal style, and a healthy nod to any number of indie-pop and post-punk acts, Smalltalk takes the finest aspects of Echo and the Bunnymen and The Cure’s less lethargic emotions and propels it thirty years forward for a new audience.

Plus! is a collection of the band’s out of print, vinyl-only EP releases and is packaged for double 12″ Vinyl, Digipak CD and digital download. CD and Vinyl are available for pre-order HERE with digital versions available on iTunes and Amazon now. Plus! will be available in physical formats on Black Friday, November 27.
