The funniest late night talk show host, Conan O’Brien, is officially leaving NBC after 2 weeks of settlement talks. Everyone should know all the news by now so no point in recapping it for you. The talks were signed this morning, and Conan’s last show will be Friday night when he has Will Ferrell and Tom Hanks on his show. The two actors were the first guest on Conan’s short-lived Tonight Show which only started back in June. The unfunny Jay Leno will return to the Tonight Show March 1st.

Fantastic Mr. Fox is quickly coming to DVD and Blu-Ray on March 23rd. The award nominated animated movie looked interesting, especially it’s style of stop motion animation. I never read Fantastic Mr. Fox so I have no idea what the book/movie is about. I’m not really a fan of Wes Anderson movies but I have a feeling I’ll end up liking this one though. I love stop motion animation and glad to see people are still going that route and not always doing CGI. The press release for the DVD and Blu-Ray is located below:

We all know the only reason why people went to see this movie was to see Megan Fox. But then again, not that many people went to see this movie to begin with and with good reason. I always try to view movies with an open mind but after seeing this, I just hated Jennifer’s Body. If you’re a fan of Megan Fox, might be better to watch her in Transformers.

A sequel to Night at the Museum was inevitable. It was a smash hit, and a film that the whole family could enjoy. I thought it was okay but not one of Stiller’s best films. The problem with most sequels is they try to do too much and make things bigger but sometimes it doesn’t work out. I feel Battle of the Smithsonian is on par with the first movie, since I think both could have been better.

500 Days of Summer was the indie film to see this summer. Of course I didn’t bother to see it in theaters. The film will be coming out on DVD and Blu-Ray on December 22nd. Since I like Zooey Deschanel, I’ll definitely check this one out. Be sure to check out the soundtrack as well, which features a new song from She & Him (Zooey and M. Ward’s band).

I’ve heard lots of things about Spaceballs: The Animated Series but never seen the show. Who knows if it’s any good but some of the original cast voice the animated characters. Mel Brooks, Joan Rivers and Daphne Zuniga reprise their roles but why not Rick Moranis and Bill Pullman? I know Moranis retired but he couldn’t lend his voice for a few episodes? Not like he’s doing anything else.
