Sorry Folks, No Image Is Here.

Last time we interviewed NUFAN, we asked them nothing but Jethro Tull related questions. Why Tull you might ask? WHY THE HELL NOT!? I guarantee the band never answered those questions before. This time we catch up with Tony Sly at the airport to ask him a few random questions.

The Feel Good Record of the Year was just released on Fat Wreck Chords. How do you think this album came out, and how would you rank it among your other albums?

It’s best or second best. I love it. I love playing the songs live more so than other records. Keep them confused kind of sucked.

Describe your band using only an adverb, a type of flower, and a word that rhymes with “monkey.”
I’m drunk at an airport right now, you can’t ask a question like that. Okay chunky calendula music.

Your last interview at ReadJunk.com (HERE) we asked you guys nothing but Jethro Tull questions. How has that interview affected your life?
Don’t remember….can I get back to you on that? I love these questions.

What’s the secret to a good punk rock album?
Anger against police brutality, G.W. sucks and other really obvious things like that. Like “money is good”…that sort of thing.

What’s the most disgusting thing that’s happened in your van?
A pillow with blood and boogers that were not mine.

Tell me about the last fight you were in.
Well, actually it was a month ago at a bar. I landed a sweet haymaker. I was really, really drunk. The guy had an annoying face.

Have you seen NOFX: Backstage Passport on FUSE? Would you ever want to have a similar TV series?
Yes, but ours would be a kid friendly show with cuddly animals and pets. It would be called “fuzzy furry friends of the world” on PBS kids. The only thing we would snort for is pig impersonations.

Are there any plans to tour the US this summer or fall? Anything else you’d like to comment on?
Yes, right now with NOFX. But headlining? Maybe fall. I love you.

We love you too Tony. Be sure to get No Use For a Name’s newest album “The Feel Good Record of the Year” on Fat Wreck Chords. Visit their website for all things NUFAN.
