Russ Rankin has released a lyric video for the song “Flesh and Bone” from his awesome debut solo record, Farewell Catalonia. We’ll have a quick review of the album up on the site soon in the meantime, enjoy the lyric music video.
Farewell Catalonia was released on August 7 via Paper + Plastick to rousing reviews. Rankin, the frontman for Good Riddance and Only Crime, shows a new side of his songwriting on the 12-track solo effort. Utilizing electric guitar leads laid over acoustic accompaniments, Rankin’s identifiable punk vocals carry the album in a comfortable way for old fans of Good Riddance and Only Crime. At the same time, the punk tinge to the Americana sounds on the album presents an easily accessible medium for those who enjoy anything from Frank Turner to Jon Snodgrass.
