Ugh. Disgustingly cheerful indie pop with hippy lyrics that made me vomit on my keyboard. Within 30 seconds I had to hear: “Raise our hands together now / Gather all the wishes while they wait….” Damnit, I haven’t even had my coffee yet.

Intricate, jangly, mathy instrumentation gives them some depth, but the yearning, earnest vocals, spewing crap about love and togetherness, along with crescendo-style songwriting make me wonder if they’re a Christian rock band. Songs like “Eden,” “Hold On,” and “You Are Loved” give credence to that theory.

Hey, I could use all the love I can get, but I really don’t need life affirmations from a band that has trouble ROCKING. Rock my ass off first, then you can touch my soul.
