I’m a big fan of James Horner’s work. Not so necessarily The Titanic score but Braveheart, Legends of The Fall, and Glory. This score features a female vocalist “ohing and ahing” over the whole score and I think it works well. The rest of the score is soft and has a nice romantic feel to it. The singing represents John Nash and what he’s thinking so it ends up a lot in the score. I’m kind of glad this score didn’t win at the Oscars because I felt Shore’s score for LOTR deserved it. This score is nice but I don’t think it deserved an award, nor the movie either! If this movie deserved any award, it should have went to Crowe. Back to the soundtrack, at the end there is a nice song Charlotte Church called “All Love Can Be.” She has a beautiful voice. This score doesn’t stand out from any of Horner’s previous film scores but it’s worth a listen.
