Simple hard rock in the late 70s-early 80s vein a la AC/DC and KISS (with a little Foghat, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, and Def Leppard thrown in). For a no-frills self-release by a terribly named band, this is shockingly solid. Great riffs, strong vocals, fist-pumping choruses, and – oh my god – is that a guitar solo? Haven’t heard one of those in awhile.

Sonic Rebellion is a throwback to those high-voltage rockin’ times, but they thankfully leave behind some of the negative elements of that era, like misogynistic lyrics and cheeseball ballads. Otherwise, there’s no modern, ironic spin here – this is purely for those about to rock, even if there’s no one left to salute them.

Bottom Line: VH1 Classic, take note!
Notable Tracks: Awake Now, Mad As Hell, Make It To Midnite, Think It Through
