To celebrate 10 years of Stereophonics existence, the band has compiled their best songs for a best-of album.

Decade in the Sun features songs from all 6 full-length albums, plus 2 brand new songs as well. The songs are called Youre My Star and My Own Worst Enemy. Im not sure if the 2-disc deluxe edition will be available in the States, but that comes out this November as well. That album contains 40 tracks, spread out over 2 discs. If you dont know the band, this is something you need to get then. Its hard to tell a newbie which album to pick up, so a best-of album is definitely the right route to take.

The album starts off with the song Dakota, which was the song that got me into the band. Handbags and Gladrags was another song that I really loved hearing from Stereophonics. I recognized it as the theme song to the UK version of The Office. Its the same song, but Big George did that version instead. I really dig Youre My Star, which is their new single. Ive been listening to that one a lot. My Own Worst Enemy is a rockin good tune as well. I usually make fun of bands for releasing best-of albums just to include new songs on it; but since this is Stereophonics first best-of album, Ill let it slide. My favorite songs from the band are from the albums Just Enough Education To Perform and Language. Sex. Violence. Other? So obviously I like those songs more than the other ones. This is an excellent compilation of Stereophonics songs. Fans of the band will like this because it includes 2 new songs, so be sure to buy this. Now bring on a new full-length album!

Bottom Line: Fantastic song selection, hand-picked by the band
Notable Tracks: Dakota, I Wouldnt Believe Your Radio, Maybe Tomorrow, Youre My Star, It Means Nothing, Handbags and Gladrags, Have a Nice Day, Pick a Part thats New
