Thickly layered, slightly psychedelic, and wonderfully poppy, this Austin trio channels warm n’ fuzzy 90s alternative such as Lush, Belly, and the Cranberries.
Tribella’s sound is consistently pleasing and poppy, but they’re going more for mood than instantly catchy radio pop. But given the brilliant, hypnotic vocals, complex rhythms (the title track is a reference to its 13/8 Rush-like time signature), and excellent, deep musicianship, each song has a large hook to reel you in.
Bottom Line: Lush + Rush.
