Sorry Folks, No Image Is Here.

I’ve been waiting to type up this news article for years! 13 years to be exact, because that’s the last time my favorite band, The Levellers, have played the USA & Canada. Frontman Mark Chadwick has played NYC twice at the Red Lion bar as one-off gigs but the band hasn’t been here since playing Mercury Lounge in 2003. The folk punk band from Brighton, UK will be playing two(!) shows in the NYC area. On September 25th, they will be playing in Brooklyn at Music Hall of Williamsburg and then on September 26th, they will be playing Bowery Ballroom. Tickets go on sale June 10th (tomorrow).

The Levellers are celebrating 25 years of their classic album Levelling The Land, and will be playing the album its entirety. Plus a lot of fan favorites and maybe a new song or two? Here’s hoping the set is changed up for both NY show but I don’t care, I’ll be at both shows. It’s a lot cheaper than flying over to London to see them, which I have done 3 times. Besides the US, they will play 2 shows in Canada on September 29th in Montreal and September 30th in Toronto.
