Asian Man Records donating money for Haiti relief

Music News | Jan 20th, 2010

Many bands and artists have already donated money to various Haiti charities and now Asian Man Records is as well. Mike Park and Asian Man Records are offering up an awesome Asian Man Records package worth 30 bucks. All that money will go to an organization called “Partners in Health.” Read more below for more information:

This is what Mike Park had to say in the newsletter:

I know many of you have already donated money and time to the sad situation in Haiti. We would like to do our part and help raise more money. We are going to offer the following package:

PLEA FOR PEACE T-SHIRT
ANDREW JACKSON JIHAD-CAN’T MAINTAIN CD
LEMURIA-GET BETTER CD
KEPI GHOULIE-LIFE SENTENCE CD
OPIONEERS!!!-NEON CREEPS CD
BOMB THE MUSICINDUSTRY-SCRAMBLES CD

The package will be $30. We will donate the money to an organization called “Partners in Health”, which seems like a great one. It’s kinda famous because it was started by Dr. Paul Farmer, the subject of the best selling book, “Mountains Beyond Mountains,” about his life’s quest to care for the impoverished people of Haiti. PIH has been in Haiti opening/running clinics and hospitals for 20+ years, and have 50 doctors and 400 nurses in rural Haiti, so they’re already set up and going balls out, they just need more $$.

Go to www.pih.org and http://www.standwithhaiti.org/haiti if interested; took like 30 seconds to donate online. I donated $1,000 today and hope with the help of the Asian Man fans, that we can donate much more than that over the next few weeks.

Visit http://asianmanrecords.com just because they are an awesome record label!
