Smoke or Fire’s third full-length studio album proves to be their best to date. Fans of the band should be pleased with this album, and Smoke or Fire might even get new fans just based on this album alone.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t really like Smoke or Fire’s previous stuff but I’m thinking differently now. I’m not sure what it is that’s different than their previous albums. It could be they just sound better, or maybe it’s Smoke or Fire has a new rhythm section now? “Integrity” starts off the album off and immediately I could notice a difference between their other albums. Joe’s rough vocals are stronger on this album; The overall album just sounds better than anything they’ve done. One track that stands out from the others is the folk tune “Honey I Was Right About War.” Seems like something Frank Turner would sing. With that said, I think the best track on the album has to be “Monsters Among Us.” It’s fast, catchy and I can definitely listen to that song a lot. If Melodic punk rock is your thing, give Smoke or Fire a chance.

Bottom Line: For fans of Rise Against, Anti-Flag and Dillinger Four
Notable Tracks: Monsters Among Us, Neon Light, Honey I Was Right About The War
