Before The Copyrights released their new full-length Report on Red Scare Industries in August, they released 3 quick melodic punk tracks on vinyl and mp3 download via Fat Wreck Chords.

“No Knocks” starts off the 7” and I’m immediately hooked in. This is the type of the punk rock I just love! Why don’t I listen to The Copyrights more? Damn, I need to find the rest of their stuff now. 2 out of the 3 tracks are on the new album but the last track “Don’t Want In” isn’t. That’s probably the best song on the short EP too. The 3 punk songs breeze by and make you want more. It’s a good thing they just released their new album and I’m 2 months behind in reviewing music.

I’m not sure it makes sense to get this though. That is, if you’re not some vinyl junkie like a lot of people are these days. I’d just stick with the full-length that just came out.

Bottom Line: For fans of Teenage Bottlerocket, Teen Idols and Screeching Weasel
Notable Tracks: All 3 of them: No Knocks, Keep The Change, Don’t Want In
