Generic hip-hop with the usual lyrics about sad childhood, “the streets”, and girls shaking their asses. Also cliched is the overuse of tinned violins to set a melancholy tone.

The beats are nicely basic and steady, and the lyrics are largely introspective, but the production is awful. The bass is turned up to 11, presumably to make the music all the more obnoxious when it’s blared out of a car at 2 am. The vocals themselves are smooth, but the vocal production sounds like he’s singing into a tape recorder.

There’s potential here but I need my hip-hop to be more unique.
